At player level 50 the feature Hero Equipment is unlocked. As with the player special equipment is available for heroes. However this is not the same equipment the player can use. Hero Equipment can be earned through events or purchased through the Kings Shop found at the Trading Post.

Every hero can equip its own set of equipment and each piece can be upgraded through various means. First is Enhancement, by upgrading this you directly improve the primary stat of that equipment. When reaching a certain level for that piece you can unlock Enhancement Attributes. These are bonus stats that can be earned when that specific equipment piece is equipped on the hero. To upgrade Hero Equipment you need to use Heroic Empowered Saphires which can be earned through events or be purchased through the Kings Shop found at the Trading Post.

The second way to improve Hero Equipment is Refinement. You can improve 4 stats and depending on the quality of the Hero Equipment the maximum limit can be higher or lower. If you do not like the stats that are present on your equipment you can also choose to reforge it. This can be found by clicking and highlighting the orb next to the word Reforge. To enchant Hero Equipment you need to use Heroic Refined Stone which can be found in events or purchased at the King’s Shop found at the Trading Post. To Reforge Hero Equipment and/or lock stats that you want to keep, you will need Heroic Reforge Sapphires and/or Heroic Reforge locks. Both are items that can be found during certain events.

The final method of improving Hero Equipment is through Equipment Upgrade. By clicking the yellow arrow above the icon of the equipment a window will open that allows you to upgrade the quality of the equipment. To upgrade the quality Heroic Promotion Stones are required. These items are earned through events only. WARNING: When upgrading the quality of Hero Equipment all progress will be lost.
