At player level apex 1 the feature Refinement is unlocked. If you have upgraded your level 80 equipment to apex you can refine additional attributes to it. Apex equipment that is rewarded from dungeons is not eligible for refining. To refine this equipment Apex Refining Stones are needed, which currently are only obtainable at the Magic Atelier in Jotunheim.
